Before configuring protection for individual forms, it's important to review the global settings for the JaJuMa Honey Spam Anti-Spam extension.
These settings act as the master switch and allow you to fine-tune the extension's behavior across your entire store.

You can access these settings by navigating to
JaJuMa -> Honey Spam Anti-Spam -> Configuration

2.1 🔖 Main Switch: Enable Honey Spam

This is the primary control for the entire extension.

• Enable Honey Spam:
  • Yes: The extension is active and will apply protection based on your per-form configurations.
  • No: The extension is completely disabled across your entire site. No spam checks will be performed, regardless of individual form settings.

2.2 💡 Improving Accuracy: Ignoring Marketing Parameters

To prevent legitimate traffic from being incorrectly flagged as spam, you can and should exclude common marketing and tracking parameters from the spam scoring process.

• Ignore Marketing Param:

  • Yes: Enables the exclusion feature.
    The extension will ignore any parameters listed in the Marketing Params field during its analysis.
  • No: All parameters will be included in the spam scoring analysis.

• Marketing Params:
  Enter a comma-separated list of parameter names to be ignored
  (e.g., fbclid,ttclid,utm_source,utm_medium).

• Why is this important?
  Marketing parameters like fbclid (Facebook Click ID) or utm_source (Urchin Tracking Module) often contain long, random strings of characters. These can sometimes be mistaken for spam by aggressive scoring rules. By listing them here, you tell the extension to ignore them, significantly reducing the risk of false positives from your ad campaigns.
