5. 🔎 Storefront Debug Tool

The Hyvä Inline CSS extension includes an indispensable debug tool that provides real-time information about its operations directly on your store's frontend.
This tool is essential for developers during setup and testing to verify that the extension is working as expected and to understand its performance impact on any given page.

5.1 🧲 Enabling and Interpreting the Debug Output

To use the debug tool, follow these simple steps:

1. Navigate to
   JaJuMa -> Hyvä Inline CSS -> Configuration
   in your Magento Admin.
2. In the General Configuration section, set Debug Mode to Yes.
3. Save the configuration and flush any relevant Magento caches.
4. Load any page on your storefront. A debug toolbar will now be visible at the bottom of the screen.

The debug toolbar provides the following key pieces of information:

• Inline CSS Status:
  Indicates whether inline CSS added by the extension is present on current page or not.
• FPC Status:
  This indicates the cache status for the current page view.
  • FPC HIT: The page view was served from full page cache. This is the expected status for all repeat page views.
  • FPC MISS: The page view was served from full page cache and was generated on-the-fly or loaded from dedicated Inline CSS Cache during this page load. This is expected on the very first visit to a page after the FPC has been cleared.
• Processing Time:
  The time in milliseconds it took to generate the CSS on a MISS.
  This demonstrates the efficiency of the generation process, which typically has no noticeable impact on TTFB.
  On a HIT, this value will be zero.
• Gzipped Size:
  The actual size of the generated CSS after Gzip compression. This number represents the real-world bandwidth savings and is the most important metric for payload size.
• Options to Clear Caches:
  For both, Full Page Cache and dedicated Inline CSS Cache.

⚠️ Warning:
The debug tool is for development and testing purposes only.
It adds minor overhead and displays information publicly.
Always ensure Debug Mode is set to No in a live production environment.
