🔧 2. General Configuration

These foundational settings establish the connection between your Magento 2 store and your Matomo Analytics instance.
Correctly configuring this section is the first and most crucial step.

Navigate to JaJuMa -> Matomo Analytics -> Configuration
in your Magento admin panel and expand the General section.

JaJuMa Matomo Analytics General Configuration

🔧 2.1 Configuration Fields

Matomo URL

Enter the full URL of your Matomo instance. This must include the trailing slash.

  • Example (On-Premise): https://matomo.yourdomain.com/
  • Example (Cloud): https://youraccount.matomo.cloud/

SiteID

Enter the unique numerical ID for the website you want to track, as configured in your Matomo instance.
You can find this in Matomo under Settings > Websites > Manage.

Duplicate SiteID

This powerful feature allows you to send a copy of all tracking data to one or more additional Matomo sites within the same Matomo server. This is useful for creating backups, testing new configurations on a duplicate site without affecting your primary data, or segmenting data for different teams.

  • Format: Enter one or more SiteIDs, separated by a comma (,).
  • Example: 5,12

Tracker Access Token

💡 Pro Tip:
The Tracker Access Token is essential for enabling the most powerful features of this extension, including 100% accurate E-Commerce Tracking (PHP Tracker) and Stealth Mode for bypassing ad blockers.
We recommend creating and configuring this token even if you plan to start with basic tracking.

This token grants your Magento server permission to send data to the Matomo Tracking API. To create one, log into Matomo as a user with Admin access, go to Settings > Personal > Security, and generate a new token under Auth Tokens.

Enable Tracker Logging

This setting is used for debugging the server-side tracking features (PHP Tracker and Stealth Mode).

  • Yes: Enables logging.
The log files will be created in your Magento installation at /var/log/matomo/tracker_dd.log (where dd is the day).
  • No (Default): Disables logging.
This should be the setting for live production environments to conserve server resources.
