6.1 📄 How to Enable Logging & Saving Spam Messages

Within each form's configuration, you have two optional settings for monitoring:

• Enable Honeyspam Logging:
  When set to Yes, the extension will write detailed debugging information for each blocked submission to a log file on your server.
  This is primarily useful for developers during technical troubleshooting.

• Save Spam Messages to DB:
  When set to Yes, the extension will save the full content of any blocked submission to your Magento database.
  These saved messages can then be easily reviewed directly from the Magento Admin Panel. This is the recommended method for monitoring and verifying your setup.

💡 Pro Tip:
Use the following "Trust Building Workflow" when implementing new or complex rules:

1. When you first protect a form, especially with custom scoring rules, always set Save Spam Messages to DB to Yes.
2. Let the extension run for a set period, such as one week.
3. Regularly review the saved logs (as described below) to confirm that only spam is being caught.
4. Once you are confident that your configuration is accurate and not blocking real customers,
   you can set Save Spam Messages to DB back to No.
   This will optimize your database performance while maintaining your proven protection.

6.2 🗎️ Reviewing and Managing Saved Spam Logs

If you have enabled Save Spam Messages to DB, you can review all blocked submissions in one central location.

Navigate to JaJuMa -> Honey Spam Anti-Spam -> Honey Spam Logs in your Magento Admin Panel.

This grid displays a complete record of all saved spam messages. From here, you can:

• View Submission Details:
  Click on a row to see the full content of the blocked message, including all submitted form data and the reason it was flagged.
• Identify False Positives:
  By reviewing the logs, you can quickly spot if any legitimate submissions were accidentally blocked. If you find a false positive, you can adjust your scoring rules or other settings to be less strict.
• Manage Logs:
  You can delete individual logs or use the mass action dropdown to delete logs in bulk to keep your database clean.

This transparent logging system ensures you are always in control, allowing you to build and maintain a spam protection strategy that is both powerful and precise.
