This guide is designed for users who want to get the most critical features of the JaJuMa Real User Monitoring (RUM) extension for Magento 2 up and running as quickly as possible.
Follow these three steps to start collecting valuable performance data and protecting your store's stability.

2.1 🔗 Step 1: Enable the Extension

This is the master switch for all monitoring functionality.

1. Navigate to JaJuMa -> Real User Monitoring -> Configuration.
2. Open the General section.
3. Set Enable Real User Monitoring to Yes.
4. Click Save Config.

2.2 📥 Step 2: Configure the High-Performance Tracker (Recommended for Production)

To ensure the monitoring script has zero impact on your store's performance, it is highly recommended to use the standalone tracker script.

1. In the RUM configuration, open the Data Collection section.
2. Click Download Standalone Tracker Script to download the rum_tracker.php file.
3. Using SSH or FTP, upload this file to your Magento pub directory (e.g., /path/to/magento/pub/rum_tracker.php).
4. Set Use Standalone Tracker Script to Yes.
5. Click Save Config.

💡 Pro Tip:
For maximum performance, also ensure that Collect Data Only After User Interaction
in the same section is set to Yes.
This prevents the script from affecting initial page load metrics.

2.3 🛠️ Step 3: Set Up the Server Load Safeguard

This is a critical feature to protect your store's performance during high-traffic periods.
It ensures that RUM data processing will automatically pause if your server becomes too busy.

1. In the RUM configuration, open the Automation / Cron Jobs section.
2. Open the Data Processing Cron subsection.
3. In the Server Load Limit field, enter a value like 0.7. This represents 70% of your server's average load capacity.
4. Ensure the Enable/Disable toggle for the cron is set to Yes.
5. Click Save Config.

That's it! Your store will now begin collecting real user performance data.
It may take some time for the cron jobs to process the initial data, after which you will see detailed reports appear in the RUM Dashboard.
